Albury Wodonga Health supports people with a disability to access region-wide health and hospital services

Working with the individual, their family and carers our Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) ensures everyone has access to the care and treatment they need.

Our  DLO can assist people in the community or during their admission to hospital.  We have a strong focus on making sure people with a disability can access screening and treatment for COVID-19 equitably.

Our services include
  • Support for people with disability, their families and carers to access COVID-19 screening, treatment and vaccination.
  • Support for people with disability, their families and carers to access health services at Albury Wodonga Health or other health services in the North East Victoria region.
  • Support for people with a disability admitted to hospital and the teams caring for them.
  • Advice and consultation to health services and staff on how to provide care that is more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities.
